Hal tersebut mengingat kondisi utang perusahaan yang membengkak dan modal yang negatif saat ini. Adapun pihak BTEL menyatakan jumlah PHK tersebut sekitar\u00a0 400 karyawan. \u00a0BTEL juga menilai pengurangan karyawan merupakan bagian dari langkah efisiensi agar operasional perusahaan lebih efektif.
