Pada bulan Januari harga logam mulia mengalami kenaikan mantap. Harga emas di bulan Januari lalu bahkan sempat menyentuh posisi paling tinggi sejak bulan Agustus 2014. Akan tetapi setelah mencapai posisi tertinggi tersebut harga kemudian anjlok hingga pertengahan Maret lalu mencapai posisi paling rendah sejak bulan November 2014. Saat ini harga masih bergerak naik-turun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Pada bulan Januari lalu harga emas melejit disebabkan oleh gelombang volatilitas yang melanda pasar saham Tiongkok. Bursa saham Tiongkok anjlok tajam sehingga mengakibatkan para pelaku pasar berlomba memburu emas yang lazim digunakan sebagai sarana hedging investasi. Sementara itu keputusan bank sentral Swiss (SNB) untuk membatalkan pegging nilai tukarnya terhadap euro karena khawatir anjlok euro akan membawa serta nilai tukar franc Swiss.
