Mata uang lokal terpantau kembali berada di teritori negatif terhadap dollar AS setelah pada perdagangan Kamis kemarin berhasil ditutup menguat dengan signifikan. Melemahnya dollar terhadap rival-rivalnya menjadi salah satu pendorong kenaikan mata uang dalam negeri. Fed mengatakan kemungkinan kenaikan suku bunga acuan akan dilakukan tahun ini.
