Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) melaporkan bahwa sepanjang April 2015 ini telah terjadi inflasi atau kenaikan rata-rata harga barang dan jasa sebesar 0,36 persen. Untuk inflasi <em>year on year<\/em> (tahunan), BPS melaporkan sebesar 6,79 persen. Dari 82 kota di Indonesia terjadi inflasi di 72 kota dan deflasi di 10 kota. Inflasi tertinggi terjadi di Tual yakni 1,31 persen dan yang terendah terjadi di Cilacap 0,02 persen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Inflasi inti pada bulan April, tercatat sebesar\u00a00,24 persen. Naiknya inflasi bulanan ini disebabkan oleh naiknya harga bahan bakar minyak, tarif angkutan umum, dan LPG 12 kilogram. Sementara itu, harga\u00a0bahan makanan justru\u00a0menghambat inflasi inti atau terjadi deflasi 0,91 persen. Hal ini disebabkan oleh beras yang sudah mulai panen, dan sayur mayur juga sudah menampakkan penurunan harga.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kenaikan harga Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM) memicu inflasi yang terjadi pada April 2015.\u00a0Kelompok transportasi menjadi kontributor utama\u00a0terhadap inflasi bulan April lalui dimana inflasinya tercatat sebesar 1,80 persen sebagai dampak kenaikan BBM pada akhir Maret.
