Bendungan yang dibangun sejak tahun 2016 dengan biaya Rp1,78 triliun tersebut memiliki kapasitas tampung 68 juta meter kubik dan luas genangan hingga 800 hektare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlhamdulillah Bendungan Way Sekampung yang dibangun sejak 2016 hari ini telah selesai dan siap difungsikan,\u201d ujar Presiden.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam sambutannya, Presiden Jokowi menjelaskan bahwa Bendungan Way Sekampung memiliki sejumlah manfaat yang dapat digunakan oleh petani dan masyarakat sekitar. Mulai dari irigasi, penyediaan air baku 2,737 liter per detik, pembangkit listrik 5,4 megawatt, hingga pengendalian banjir.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMampu mengairi 55 ribu hektare daerah irigasi existing dan 17.500 hektar daerah irigasi baru.
