Isu mengenai kepemilikan asing di Indonesia masih terus diperbincangkan, kondisi saat ini warga asing dapat memiliki properti di Indonesia dengan hak sewa, hak pakai antara 70-99 tahun atau hak guna usaha.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Rumah Susun mengenai adanya pemisahan secara horisontal antara kepemilikan bangunan dan tanah bisa digantikan dengan kepenghunian, dikarenakan warga negara asing yang membeli properti di Indonesia tidak memiliki lahan yang ada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Berbagai cara dilakukan warga asing untuk memiliki properti di Indonesia umumnya mereka menikah dengan orang Indonesia, untuk mendapatkan kepemilikan sekalipun tidak secara langsung, seperti yang terjadi di Bali dan daerah lainnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Potensi pasar yang ada tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa pasar properti untuk asing bisa dikatakan sangat tinggi dan sanggup meningkatkan pertumbuhan properti nasional, di lain sisi juga perlu adanya pembatasan sehingga tidak merugikan pasar lokal Indonesia sendiri.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Minat warga negara asing untuk membeli rumah dan apartemen masih sangat besar terbukti banyak yang buka usaha maupun tinggal di Indonesia dengan status kepemilikan saat ini masih hak pakai yang disamakan dengan Hak Guna Bangunan dan lain-lain sehingga warga tidak merasa adanya perlakuan yang berbeda.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Saat ini baru Malaysia dan Singapura di Asia Tenggara yang memberikan kemudahan bagi warga asing untuk memiliki properti rumah tinggal (rumah tapak) maupun apartemen.
