Saat ini, kami tengah menjalankan pilot project CCU berbasis hidrometalurgi di PT Petrokimia Gresik,\u201d ujar Menteri Perindustrian Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita dalam The 2nd Annual Indonesia Green Industry Summit (AIGIS) 2025 di Jakarta, Rabu (20\/8).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proyek tersebut diperkirakan mampu menangkap hingga 65 persen CO2 dari gas buang industri, kemudian mengubahnya menjadi soda ash atau baking soda bernilai komersial, sehingga dapat mengurangi ketergantungan impor. \u201cTeknologi ini bukan hanya mendukung target net zero emission (NZE), tetapi juga memberi nilai tambah ekonomi,\u201d tambah Agus.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Selain itu, Kemenperin juga mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan mikro alga sebagai solusi penyerapan karbon yang menghasilkan biomassa, green hydrogen, hingga bahan baku kosmetik. \u201cNutrisi utama mikro alga adalah CO2, sehingga berpotensi besar untuk dikembangkan melalui hilirisasi,\u201d jelasnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Teknologi CCU yang digunakan dikembangkan oleh UWin Resources Regeneration Inc., dipimpin Prof. Kenny Hsu, dan telah memperoleh paten di berbagai negara. Pada tahap laboratorium, sistem ini berhasil diuji oleh lembaga terakreditasi T\u00dcV Rheinland Taiwan dengan hasil penurunan emisi CO2 lebih dari 99 persen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Atas capaian tersebut, pada 22 Januari 2025 di Jakarta, Kemenperin RI, UWin Resources, dan PT Petrokimia Gresik menandatangani MoU untuk melaksanakan pilot project berskala industri di fasilitas PKG.
