Terasi udang rebon produksi usaha mikro, kecil, dan menengah (UMKM) setempat mencatatkan ekspor perdana ke Thailand sebanyak 40 ton dengan nilai sekitar Rp230 juta.<\/p>\n<p>Pelepasan ekspor dilakukan oleh Menteri Koordinator Bidang Pangan Zulkifli Hasan di halaman Kantor Bupati Asahan, Sabtu (24\/10\/2026). Pengiriman ini diharapkan jadi langkah awal untuk memperkuat penetrasi produk lokal ke pasar global sekaligus meningkatkan nilai tambah komoditas perikanan.<\/p>\n<p>Potensi tersebut didukung oleh kondisi geografis Asahan yang memiliki garis pantai sepanjang sekitar 56 kilometer di Selat Malaka. Daerah ini juga menjadi salah satu sentra perikanan tangkap terbesar di Sumatra Utara, dengan produksi mencapai 50.658 ton hingga September 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Ketersediaan bahan baku dari nelayan setempat menjadi modal bagi pelaku usaha untuk mengembangkan industri pengolahan hasil laut. Terasi udang rebon adalah salah satu produk yang berpotensi meningkatkan nilai ekonomi hasil tangkapan sekaligus membuka peluang usaha dan pendapatan bagi masyarakat pesisir.<\/p>\n<p>Data Pemerintah Kabupaten Asahan menunjukkan, ekspor komoditas terasi pada 2025 mencapai 1.897,7 ton dengan nilai sekitar Rp21 miliar. Pada 2026, volumenya meningkat menjadi 2.758,5 ton dengan nilai sekitar Rp34 miliar.<\/p>\n<p>Zulkifli Hasan berharap pengiriman perdana ke Thailand dapat berlanjut secara rutin dan membuka akses ke pasar internasional yang lebih luas. Ia juga meminta dukungan berbagai pihak, termasuk Bank Indonesia dan pemerintah daerah, untuk mendorong pertumbuhan UMKM agar semakin mampu bersaing.<\/p>\n<p>Selain melepas ekspor, Menko Pangan menyerahkan bantuan beras kepada 164 penerima manfaat di Asahan. Bantuan untuk masyarakat desil 1\u20134 diberikan sebanyak 10 kilogram per bulan atau 30 kilogram sekaligus untuk periode tiga bulan.<\/p>\n<p>Pemerintah juga melanjutkan bantuan pangan untuk Oktober\u2013Desember 2026.
